EDUCATIONAL TOOLKITS & COMMUNITY HEALTH RESOURCES
Our mission is to empower residents of Villiers-Saint-Orien, Bonneval, and the rural communes of Eure-et-Loir with clear, medically grounded, and completely open-access physical literacy toolkits that cultivate sustainable wellness habits beyond the walls of our gymnasiums. We believe that credible athletic education must never be hoarded behind paywalls, subscription gates, or proprietary corporate applications, but freely shared as a public good for the collective benefit of all citizens. By curating step-by-step postural manuals, home-based senior fall prevention routines, rural trail maps, and scientifically validated hydration guidelines designed specifically for rural lifestyles and manual occupations, our association ensures that every household possesses the practical knowledge, structural safety techniques, and daily encouragement required to maintain physical autonomy, joint health, and cardiovascular vigor throughout their entire lifetime.

OUR OPEN-ACCESS CIVIC CHARTER
In accordance with our founding non-profit charter under the French Law of July 1, 1901, FITNESS BONNEVALAISE rejects the commercialization of health information. While commercial fitness platforms lock basic workout guides behind recurring credit card subscriptions, our materials are licensed under Creative Commons (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0).
Anyone is free to download, print, photocopy, and share these educational resources with family members, neighboring senior clubs, school physical education classes, or community healthcare centers. We only require that our materials remain strictly non-commercial and that attribution to FITNESS BONNEVALAISE is retained.

Request Printed BookletGOLDEN RULES FOR AT-HOME PHYSICAL CONDITIONING
When performing exercise routines independently at home using our handbooks, we urge all participants to adhere strictly to four foundational safety tenets:
- Never Exercise Through Sharp or Piercing Pain: Healthy muscular effort produces warmth, mild fatigue, and temporary burning within target muscles. In contrast, sharp, stinging, or radiating sensations near tendons, spinal discs, or joints are clear biological warnings to stop immediately.
- Preserve Rhythmic, Unbroken Breathing: The Valsalva maneuver—holding your breath while straining—significantly raises intrathoracic pressure and blood pressure spikes. Consciously exhale during exertion (the concentric lifting phase) and inhale during lowering (the eccentric phase).
- Prioritize Postural Integrity Over Quantity: Five slow, mechanically pristine squats with proper knee-over-toe alignment provide greater physiological benefit and zero injury risk compared to twenty hurried repetitions with caved knees or a rounded lumbar spine.
- Maintain Pre-Hydration and Post-Session Recovery: Rural climates can lead to insidious dehydration during winter heating or summer field work. Consume a glass of water thirty minutes prior to starting home drills, and conclude with ten minutes of parasympathetic nasal breathing and gentle hamstring stretches.
PHYSICAL HARDCOPY ACCESSIBILITY IN LOCAL TOWN HALLS
Recognizing that many elderly citizens and rural households do not own home computer printers or possess high-speed internet connections, FITNESS BONNEVALAISE provides physical bound hardcopies free of charge.
Spiral-bound, large-print editions with high-contrast text and step-by-step photographic illustrations are permanently stocked at the Mairie of Villiers-Saint-Orien, the municipal reception desk in Bonneval, and the local communal library. If you cannot travel to these locations, our volunteer coordination committee will gladly deliver a copy directly to your mailbox upon request.
